You may make arrangements with your funeral director to send the ashes and documents directly to us, or you may choose to ship the cremains to us yourself.


1) Please pack the cremains in the original bag or box provided by the crematory, or a sealed airtight container. Any containers or urns used for transport will not be returned.

2) Place the sealed airtight container inside a padded shipping box, providing a cushion on all sides by surrounding the entire container with shipping or packing materials.

3) Please be sure to include any recordings or personal notes you wish to have played or read at the time of the scattering.

4) Please include a signed copy of the Authorization to Scatter Cremated Remains (click on Forms) and a money order, cashiers check or personal check for $495 or otherwise agreed amount.

5) Seal the box and write on the outside: CREMATED REMAINS.

7) Cremains must be sent through the United States Postal Service since other carriers do not transport cremains. Send the package RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED so that you have record of the cremains being picked up by Colorado Ashes, LLC.
